This problem is becoming ever more common. Modern vehicles are of course equipped with rear fog lights and more and more vehicles have an electronic parking assistance system. The trailer is attached and electrically connected according to the instructions, unfortunately, the parking assistance system recognises the trailer as an obstacle and beeps. This problem can be solved using the new 13 pole 12 Volt socket with two micros-switches from the Elparts range. Both switches are activated when connecting the plug, which switches off both the rear fog light and the parking assistance system.
